Study progress, reflections, optional notes, and Guide conversation copies are saved in this browser on this device. They are not automatically synced to another device. Clearing browser storage can remove them. Export a backup before replacing or clearing app data.
When you use the AI Guide
The Guide is an AI study assistant, not a person. Sending a message sends up to twelve recent messages from that question’s conversation, the study/day/language/question identifiers, and a random device token through GMS. GMS supplies the approved study text and guidance from its server and sends that content and the conversation to OpenAI. Private reflection and note fields are not automatically included. Information you type into the Guide is included.
Processing and retention
The plugin does not deliberately store Guide transcripts in the WordPress database. Copies remain on this device until you clear them. GMS hosting, security services, and OpenAI may process or retain request information under their own applicable policies. The integration uses store:false for Responses API requests; that is not a promise of zero provider retention. See OpenAI’s data-controls information below. Do not include secrets or sensitive information that is not needed for the study.
Reminders
Email reminders store your email address, random device token, selected study/day, time zone, reminder time, language, and confirmation status on the GMS server. A new or changed address must be confirmed. Device notifications store a push subscription rather than an email address. These delivery services receive the information needed to send the reminder. Cancel in the app or use the email’s unsubscribe link. A failed or offline cancellation remains pending until the server confirms it. Calendar files are separate: remove imported events in your calendar app.
Talking to a person
An email link opens your email application; it does not send a message or submit a request for you. You must send the email. The Guide is not a monitored emergency service, and no response time is promised. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a trusted person nearby.
Offline readings
Study material and selected Bible passages are available offline after the app confirms readiness. Some additional readings require an internet connection. Available companion passages differ by language; Canadian French currently has a narrower offline companion-passage selection.
