Nature of the tool
DIAL Community Edition is a structured self-assessment and leadership-reflection tool. It is not a validated or diagnostic instrument, and it is not a clinical, psychological, legal, employment, or financial evaluation. It is intended to begin a shared conversation, not to replace professional judgment, and it should not be used as the basis for high-stakes decisions about individuals.
Appropriate use
Cohort readings are commissioned by an organization’s own leadership and walked through with a guided debrief — they are not to be deployed as a hidden survey against a team. You agree to use the tool lawfully and in keeping with its purpose.
Intellectual property
The Load-Bearing Leadership System™, Dual Integrity Assessment Lab™ (DIAL), DIAL Leader Profiles™, and related marks are trademarks of J.A. Tomlinson (filing in process). The Community Edition content is provided to Global Mission Support under a royalty-free, restricted charitable-use license. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivatives of the framework, the assessment, or its content without written permission.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The DIAL Community Edition and these tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The assessment is a structured self-assessment that offers a directional reading; it is not professional, clinical, legal, employment, or financial advice, and should not be relied upon to make high-stakes decisions about individuals. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Global Mission Support and its directors, volunteers, and licensors are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the tools; where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount (if any) you paid to use the service.
